Benefit Group Accrual Steps Entry
Use this pop-up to set up and maintain an accrual step for a selected accrual profile.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Step Minimum | Number of months an employee must work before earning this step. |
| Hours Earned | Number of hours an employee earns each time the accruals are calculated. |
| Allow Percentage | Determines whether an employee earns a portion of accrual time based on the number of hours worked per pay period. When the accruals are calculated, the hours an employee worked are divided by the standard hours set by the benefit group to give the employee the percentage of time. |
| Anniversary | Accrual time earned on anniversary date only. |
| Maximum Accrual Balance | If applicable, maximum life-to-date balance allowed at this step. |
| YTD Maximum Balance | If applicable, the maximum number of accrual hours that may be earned in a year at this step. An entry in this field disables the Maximum Accrual Balance field. |
| Overflow Hours Code | If applicable, hours code used to account for accrual hours in excess of the maximum balance. Also, if you want to track the number of hours that exceed the maximum balances designated in one of the previous two fields, enter an hours code here. |
| Carryover Cap | If applicable, maximum number of hours allowed to carry over when accrual hours are rolled. |
| Transfer Hours Code | Hours code used to transfer hours from one accrual category to another when accrual hours are rolled. This entry or a Loss Hours Code is required when a carryover cap is established. |
| Loss/Paid Hours Code | Hours code used to signify the hours were lost or paid when the accruals were rolled. This entry or a Transfer Hours Code is required when a carryover cap is established. |
